Data Science for the Public Good Young Scholars Program Presentations
July 26 @ 9:30 am
As the Data Science for the Public Good Young Scholars Program comes to a close, all are invited to check out what these students have been working on all summer during a public presentation, which will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 26, in room 1105 at the Student Innovation Center on the Iowa State campus.
The DSPG Young Scholars program is an immersive summer program that engages students from all over the state to work together on projects that address local and state government challenges around critical social issues relevant in the world today. This year’s projects range from exploring how community capitals affect community resiliency to providing support for housing development in Iowa through AI and interactive zoning maps. The presentations will be available to view virtually on Teams.
College of Design students in this cohort of the program include:
Joseph Betti, fourth-year landscape architecture student
Tabassum Zaman, community and regional planning graduate student
