Candidates for the position of chair of the Department of Urban Planning and Development will be on campus for interviews the week of Oct. 13, 2025. Zhenghong Tang will give a public presentation from 1–2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13 (30-minute presentation followed by 30 minutes for Q&A), in the Launch Pad, room 4250 Student Innovation Center.
Professor Tang currently serves as the associate dean for research and innovation at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Architecture and has been UNL’s community and regional planning program director since 2020. He holds a PhD in urban and regional science from Texas A&M University.
